The prime minister gets behind the wheel of the only LPG vehicle entered in the Energy-Wise Rally which stopped at Parliament this morning (Oct 13). The Rockgas-sponsored car is an LPG-dedicated Falcon which emits between 13-20 percent less greenhouse gases than an equivalent petrol car. It is capable of driving on LPG from Auckland to Wellington without refuelling.
Associate transport minister, Harry Duynhoven, and prime minister, Helen Clark, discuss the advantages of cleaner-burning automotive LPG during the Energy-Wise Rally stop-over this morning (Oct 13) at Parliament. Rockgas distribution manager, Bob Kooge, looks on. The Rockgas-sponsored LPG-dedicated Falcon emits between 13-20 percent less greenhouse gases than an equivalent petrol car. It can drive from Auckland to Wellington without refuelling.
