Greens to support motion censuring Peters
Green co-leader Rod Donald this afternoon advised Richard Prebble that the Greens will support his notice of motion effectively seeking to censure Winston Peters for his campaign against Asian and other new immigrants.
"The Greens share the public's distaste for the politics of persecution and fully support the motion to distance this parliament from Winston Peters' offensive comments," said Mr Donald.
"While the Greens and ACT are poles apart politically we share common cause when it comes to any threat to our reputation as a tolerant and inclusive society."
