Kiwibank policy success
Jim Anderton today congratulated Kiwibank on the growth in New Zealanders support from 12 per cent a year ago to 43 per cent.
The results were released in an Auckland University study.
“This shows that a very significant number of New Zealanders support the policy of this Government in allowing NZ Post to provide additional competition for banking services.
“The introduction of the Kiwibank is offering New Zealanders a greater choice of banks and real competition which is resulting in lower fees and interest charges.
“It is clear that Kiwibank is gaining in strength daily and New Zealanders are welcoming the additional choice and level of service it provides,’ said Jim Anderton.
