Labour Announces Raffle Results
“John Tamihere, Ruth Dyson, Chris Carter elevated to the Executive! What do United Future think about that?” asked New Zealand First leader, Winston Peters.
“These Cabinet promotions must surely have been won in a raffle. How else can you explain the elevation of someone like John Tamihere with his five DICs and other dubious qualifications for higher office? If this is the best new blood that Labour can introduce then watch out New Zealand.
“These are three of the best reasons yet for ensuring that proper scrutiny of public policy should take place within Parliament and that the powers of Cabinet must be reduced,” said Mr Peters.
