“Media enquiries today relating to Matt McCarten’s suggestion that I was found in a wardrobe when having a meeting with Jim Anderton result from further figments of an over fertile imagination,” New Zealand First Leader, Winston Peters said.
“It must be the election season and the Party’s getting rough. Mr. McCarten may have been a waiter at the time but he’s nonetheless mistaken, as his former Leader Jim Anderton can confirm.
“Perhaps this is the wardrobe where the Alliance Party has been holding its meetings, in which case there will be plenty of room.” Mr. Peters said.
