Helen Clark may have stated she won't go into coalition with the Greens, but in reality the decision is not hers, ACT
deputy leader Ken Shirley says.
"I think the Greens have decided they don't want to go into coalition with Labour. It's not really Helen's call," Mr
Shirley said.
"If the Greens are elected with an increased number of MPs, they could be even more dangerous to the economy sitting on
the cross benches than by being in Cabinet.
"I also challenge Ms Clark to rule out the possibility of a coalition between Labour and New Zealand First. The country
well remembers Winston's destabilising influence in the past and his inability to help himself from holding the country
to ransom.
"It is clear that any coalition between Labour and other parties of the Left - whether the Greens, NZ First or the
remnants of the Alliance - will bring unstable government," Mr Shirley said.
