Prebble Welcomes Parliament Onto The Internet
The ACT leader Richard Prebble welcomed TVNZ's decision to live stream parliament's question time on the internet.
"This is a proposal that I have campaigned for since ACT launched it's own website. I am pleased to see that TVNZ has taken it up," said Mr Prebble.
"Because the internet can be accessed anywhere in the globe, the New Zealand parliament can now be observed by anyone anywhere, who has internet access. I hope that TVNZ will archive question time so that interested people can also refer back and actually see what was said."
"I'd like to think that this might cause members of parliament to improve their behaviour and lift standards but then again you can't get everything," he said.
