Launch Of Disability Strategy Discussion Document

Minister for Disability
Issues Ruth Dyson will launch the discussion document for
the New Zealand Disability Strategy, Making a World of
Difference: Whakanui Organga, at 11am on Wednesday, 6
September 2000.
The launch will take place in the Banquet Hall, Beehive, Parliament Buildings, Wellington.
Speakers will include Hon Ruth Dyson, Director General of Health Karen Poutasi, disability reference group co-chairs Jan Scown and Robyn Hunt, and the chief executive of the Assembly for People with Disabilities, Gary Williams.
All media are invited to attend the launch. The Minister and other key spokespeople will be available for comment in the foyer outside the Banquet Hall immediately after the formal proceedings, about 11.30am.
The discussion document is now available on www.nzds.govt.nz. The document, press releases and background information will be distributed to the media later today or tomorrow morning.
