ATTORNEY GENERAL’S WHISPERS CAUGHT ON TAPE – “WHAT IS GOING ON?” ASKS PETERS
The New Zealand First Leader, Rt Hon Winston Peters, has accused the Attorney General of colluding with the Serious Fraud Officer Director at a Select Committee hearing this morning.
“At the outset Select Committee members were given an unequivocal assurance that no direction is given from the Attorney General’s Office to the SFO as the SFO Director, DJ Bradshaw, holds a judicial position.
“This afternoon, I heard a tape recording of Mr Bradshaw’s evidence and the Attorney General, Margaret Wilson, can be clearly heard whispering instructions to Mr Bradshaw as I questioned him.
“Ms Wilson can be heard acting as counsel for Mr Bradshaw!
“This is clearly a case of collusion and I will be demanding that the SFO Director appear again before the Law and Order Select Committee to answer questions without the Attorney General.
“I will also be taking further the
issue of Ms Wilson’s inappropriate and unconstitutional
behaviour,” said Mr Peters.
