Margaret Wilson’s Claims Are Nothing But Spin

Margaret Wilson’s Claims Are Nothing But Spin

“I standby the accuracy of the document ACT is using in our Employment Relations Bill seminars,” said ACT Leader, Hon Richard Prebble.

“What Margaret Wilson clearly does not know is that the document put out by ACT is a smaller copy of our select committee minority report.

“The minority report was thoroughly examined by Government MPs and officials for accuracy.

“In fact the chair of the committee, Labour MP, Graham Kelly, upon reading the report for the first time, said that it was full of errors. However, when the select committee undertook a detailed clause by clause analysis of the report he was forced to concede that what ACT said about the Bill, was accurate.

“Examining Margaret Wilson’s so called 23 points of error shows, that most of the points in debate, are actually mutually agreed.

For example.

ACT ………..
Strikes for collective agreements
are lawful.
Margaret Wilson
Strikes for collective agreements are indeed lawful.

ACT
There are no penalties for leaking confidential information

Margaret Wilson
Penalties are ineffective in this situation.

“Margaret Wilson’s claims that there are 23 errors in ACT’s handout is just another example of Government spin,” said Hon Richard Prebble.
