PILOTS STRIKE OVER: The Air Line Pilots has recommended its pilots end their strike commenting that Ansett appeared to be willing to lose millions during the dispute.

CITY MISSION: Auckland City Mission says it is seeing a big increase in demand especially from students.

SAMOA 38 31 over WALES – Samoa through to quarter final playoffs.
AUSTRALIA 55 19 over US – US scored a try.

CRICKET: The Black Caps have finished the test against India with a draw. They had been chasing 374 to win.
