rises for firemen say management. In particular the Fire Service has substantial debts.
SOCIAL WORKERS IN SCHOOLS: The Social Services Minister is considering expanding a social workers in schools programme
that has been piloted this year. The programme has received lots of support from Principals.
GREEN PRAISE: The Coalition Government begins its second year in government today with the Greens complimenting the
coalition on its stability. The Greens are also relaxed about the lack of a formal protocol.
SOLOMONS: The weapons handover process in the Solomon Islands has been disappointing say peace monitors. No more weapons
have been handed over since 43 were handed over at the beginning of the process.
UK FLOODS: Britain is preparing for more flooding with 70 flood warnings in force. The latest storms have killed four so
far.
