BOTTRILL ADMITS UNDER REPORTING: The man at the centre of the Gisborne cervical cancer inquiry has admitted an unacceptable level of under reporting, saying he is devastated by the evidence which has surfaced in the inquiry. Retired pathologist Dr Michael Bottrill says he believes an form of attention deficit disorder, rather than a deficient checkup process or lack of training, led to his under-reporting.
- NORTHLAND GRANDMOTHER CHARGED: A Whangarei grandmother is in custody after appearing in court charged with the assault of her two-year-old granddaughter. Doctors say the toddler could be brain damaged from her injuries. Child Youth & Family confirmed today it approved the placing of the child in the hands of her grandmother.
