Employee Attendance Tracking – One Of The Best Ways To Boost Team Morale

No one likes working on a team where someone isn’t pulling their weight. Employee perceptions – whether real or imagined – that management isn’t effectively preventing staff members from abusing flexitime or monitoring absenteeism can lead to serious declines in company morale. Similarly, employees who are in regular attendance, and who are active and productive during work hours, but who feel unseen for their efforts can also lose their lustre. Low employee morale caused by either or both scenarios can lead to lower general productivity and greater staff turnover.

It is vital, therefore, that companies proactively track all their employees’ attendance rates and productivity levels. Making use of employee attendance software can help to greatly improve employee morale in a few key ways.

Third, digitally tracking employee attendance is more accurate than manual processes. Thus, companies have a greater ability to align with labour law requirements around things like employee time off, overtime compensation, and health and safety practices. It also becomes easier to ensure accurate payroll and provide evidence in case of labour disputes.

When employees feel seen and valued and do not perceive that management is ineffective in dealing with less productive colleagues, they tend to report higher morale. Greater general employee morale, in turn, leads to lower employee turnover and higher productivity – all of which are good for business.
