Video: Government Announces Gun Control Measures
Prime Minister Jacinda Arder was joined by Minister of Police Stuart Nash to announce measures around a ban on military style semi-automatics and assault rifles, following the deadly attacks on mosques in Christchurch.
Police have instructions to hand over reclassified weapons. Agencies are working on details of a buyback scheme.
