PM's Post-Cabinet Press Conference 25/2/19: Capital Gain Taxation and Rental Home Insulation
Prime Minister began Monday's post-cabinet press conference with a discussion of the Tax Working Group's recommendations on capital gains tax, saying she wanted the proposals to be discussed accurately and in context, in the face of "inflammatory" statements.
Questions from the media also focused on various aspects of the capital gains tax proposals and the government's decision-making process on the recommendations. Other questions canvassed the newly-announced plans for insulation and heating standards in rental housing, discussions with Australia on New Zealand's deploment in Iraq, and challenges to the government at the Te Matatini kapa haka festival.
