PM's Post-Cabinet Press Conference 11/12/18: Grace Millane, ACC Levy, Missing Executives
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern began her Monday post-cabinet press conference with an emotional comment on the murder of English backpacker Grace Millane.
She was joined by ACC Minister Iain Lees-Galloway to announce that ACC levies would not be increased and the work levy paid by employer would decrease.
Questions covered these issues as well as extensive questioning on the absence of Kiwibuild Chief Executive Stephen Barclay (the PM maintained this was a matter for the public service but stated it was not to do with the Kiwibuild policy or implementation), New Zealand's potential signing of the UN Migration Compact (the Government was seeking advice on matter that had been raised and would not sign an agreement that did not allow NZ to make its own immigration policy), National's claims regrading a tally of Government inquiries, the release of Ministerial diaries, and child poverty levels in New Zealand.
