Acting PM's Post-Cabinet Press Conference 25/6/18: The Bus Stops Here
Acting Prime Minister Winston Peters began his Monday post-cabinet press conference by paying tribute to Koro Wetere, whose tangi many ministers had attended earlier in the day.
Peters took questions on public sector pay negotiations, with strike action coming at MBIE and IRD and a strike notice lodged amidst urgent negotiations for district health board nurses.
Other topics included the shelving of health targets, National Leader Simon Bridges' radio comments about the Prime Minister's baby, UK plans to ban the sale of energy drinks to children, business confidence, the enforcement of undertakings made by land buyers under the Overseas Investment Act, the role of prefab housing in Kiwibuild, New Zealand's potential to mitigate trade war among allies at the upcoming NATO meeting, and this week's Reserve Bank interest rate decision.
