A post-Budget poll undertaken by Colmar Brunton for One News has put National on 49 percent, up three percentage points on the last poll in the series.

Labour was unchanged on 30 percent support, the Greens down two points to nine and NZ First up one point to nine percent as well.

The Opportunities Party, registering at one per cent, with ACT also remaining on one percent. The Maori Party fell three points to one percent. United Future did not register.


In the preferred prime minister ratings, Bill English was up three points to 29 percent, Labour leader Andrew Little was up one to eight percent. Winston Peters fell two points to seven percent with Jacinda Ardern on six percent.

The poll of 1000 people had a margin of error of 3.1 per cent and was conducted following the May election.
