NZ farewells Helen Kelly trade unionist, activist, optimist, campaigner for justice and fairness in NZ.

Trade unionist Helen Kelly died on October 14th aged 52. Yesterday - Friday 28th October - she was bid farewell at a public memorial meeting at Wellington's Michael Fowler Center in speech and songs. She will be missed.

The public memorial coincided with news that Helen had been dropped from the New Zealander of the Year nomination list. A petition has been started to ask the organisers to reinstate her.
