OSOS Update #3: Polarities Cafe

Published: Mon 22 Aug 2016 05:47 PM
By the way, you can get yet more live blogging from the lovely OSOS crew on scoop over here.
So, Polarities Café - I had no idea what this was going to be. Of course, I could have just checked the programme: “Bump minds and explore the pros and cons of both Open and Closed approaches”.
What they meant was: a mega focus group. Here are your hosts, Mary O’Keeffe and Sam Rye.
And here are some snaps of what went down:
It’s no mean trick running a session like this. You have to be demonic on the stopwatch and angelic on the empathy. Someone tweeted that the session suffered from “over zealous facilitation” but that felt a bit smarty pants to me.
Sam and Mary are synthesising all the feedback now, and will feedback to facilitators still to come on, and post publically after the gig. For which: stay tuned.
