Health And Safety Bill To Get Third Reading
The Government will move to complete the passage of occupational health and safety law when the House sits today.
Following Question Times are scheduled to debate the third reading of the Health and Safety Reform Bill divided into a number of bills. The bill has had the support of National, Maori Party, ACT and United Future at the committee stage.
The Taxation (Bright-line Test for Residential Land) Bill is also down for its first reading.It will require income tax to be paid on any gains from residential property purchased and sold within two years, with some exceptions. Its new regime will run alongside the Taxation (Land Information and Offshore Persons Information) Bill.
