Flag Bill To Be Debated

Published: Tue 28 Jul 2015 10:33 AM
The bill to set up a referendum on changing New Zealand’s flag will be debated this afternoon.
Following Question Time MPs are expected to debate the second reading of the New Zealand Flag Referendums Bill.
This will be followed by the return to the set piece committee stage of the Appropriation (2015/16 Estimates) Bill. There is eight hours and 50 minutes left in what is called the Estimates Debate.
If the Government decides to adjourn this the next item on the Order Paper is the interrupted first reading of the Health Practitioners (Replacement of Statutory References to Medical Practitioners) Bill.
