The Act Party and The National Party sign agreement

Prime Minister John Key and The Act Party’s David Seymour today signed an agreement to work politically for three more
years on issues of supply and confidence.
Seymour is the Parliamentary Under Secretary to the Minister of Education and Parliamentary Under Secretary to the
Minister of Regulatory Reform.
Seymour expressed his desire to work with The National Party on The Act Party’s interests in expanding the charter
schools program and working within the education sector.
Key also opened the floor up to general questions and was asked by members of the press regarding his stance on Isil and
the American air strikes. Key said that while he didn’t completely rule out the possibility of New Zealanders providing
military assistance, it was something he would seek advice on and consider “very, very carefully”, “It would be very
last resort” he added.
Key also spoke about the NZD and the current exchange rate, Australian publically announced threat levels, the Malaysian
diplomat’s extradition and immigration.
