Kelvin Davis Sworn In

When Parliament resumed at 2pm Kelvin Davis was sworn in as a Member of Parliament following the resignation of Labour MP Shane Jones.
Davis previously served as a Labour MP from 2005 to 2008.
The Auditor-General’s report “Reflections from our audits: Our future needs – is the public sector ready?” was presented as were the reports of the inter-parliamentary programme
Select committee reports were presented on the:
Harmful Digital Communications Bill by the Justice and Electoral Committee
2012/13 financial review of Radio New Zealand Limited by the Commerce Committee
2012/13 financial review of Te Reo Whakapuaki Irirangi (Māori Broadcasting Funding Agency) by the Māori Affairs Committee
Report from the Controller and Auditor-General, Discussion Paper: Learning from public entities' use of social media, June 2013 by the Commerce Committee
The Subordinate Legislation (Confirmation and Validation) Bill (No 3) was introduced.
MPs began Question Time.
