Budget Urgency Scheduled

Parliament will sit under Urgency following the Budget next week.
Leader of the House Gerry Brownlee said when Parliament sat next Tuesday the Government would give priority to the Food Bill, Veterans' Support Bill and Credit Contracts and Financial Services Law Reform Bill.
Thursday would be Budget Day and the House would go into Urgency following the Budget speech and leaders’ response to it.
A petition was presented asking MPs to look at the viability of reducing veterinary costs especially to those on low incomes.
Select committee reports were presented on:
2012/13 financial review of the Environmental Protection Authority by the Local Government and Environment Committee
2012/13 financial review of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra by the Government Administration Committee
MPs began Question Time.
