Christchurch City Rates Validation Bill Introduced

A Christchurch city rates validation bill was introduced when Parliament sat today.
When Parliament resumed at 2pm a petition was presented requesting the House take urgent action on recognising food tube dependency as a medical condition and it treatment be funded.
The Christchurch City Council (Rates Validation) Bill was introduced.
The Bill validates a number of rates and penalties for non-payment collected where irregularities occurred in the resolutions setting the Council's rates for the financial years 2003/2004 to 2012/2013.
