Return To The Budget

Published: Tue 28 May 2013 10:48 AM
MPs return to Parliament today after a week-long adjournment to debate the Budget.
After Question Time MPs will continue the set piece debate on the Appropriation (2013/14 Estimates) Bill with 12 hours and 5 minutes remaining.
The Government is likely to adjourn this debate at some point to deal with the third reading of the Criminal Procedure Amendment Bill, which has been divided into nine bills, followed by the committee stage of the Education Amendment Bill.
The latter bill contains legislation to set up partnership or charter schools and is likely to be hotly opposed.
