Grinding Through Opening Debate

Parliament rose at 10 pm interrupting the debate on the Prime Minister’s statement to the House.
There are just a few hours left in the 15 hour set piece debate, but MPs will start tomorrow’s sitting with the election of a Speaker to replace Lockwood Smith who is leaving Parliament to take up the High Commissioner role in London.
