ETS Amendment Bill Passes Into Law

The Climate Change Response (Emissions Trading and Other Matters) Amendment Bill completed its third reading by 61 to 58 with National, ACT and United Future in favour.
The Advanced Technology Institute Bill also completed it second reading by 101 to 15 with Greens and Mana opposed.
This sets up a new Crown entity to support the manufacturing sector and services businesses through science and technology-based innovation.
The House rose at 6pm and will resume next Tuesday.
