Two Controversial Bills To Be Debated

Two controversial bills will be debated for the first time in Parliament this afternoon.

The recently introduced Minimum Wage (Starting-out Wage) Amendment Bill and Education Amendment Bill will receive their first readings after Question Time today.

The wage bill reintroduces a a form of the minimum youth wage, while the education bill will bring in a number of changes. These include allowing the creation of charter schools which have now been dubbed partnership schools.
