The Non-bank Deposit Takers Bill completed its second reading on a voice vote. This sets up a new prudential framework for institutions taking monetary deposits that are not classed as banks.
The Taxation (Annual Rates, Returns Filing, and Remedial Matters) Bill also received its second reading by 106 to 11 with the Greens and Mana opposing.
The House rose at 6pm and began a week long adjournment.
