Child Support And The IMF

Published: Tue 8 May 2012 11:17 AM
Child Support reform and legislation related to the International Monetary Fund will be debated in Parliament today.
After Question Time the first item of Government business is the first reading of the International Finance Agreements Amendment Bill.
The Bill amends the International Finance Agreements Act 1961 to recognise changes to the Articles of Agreement of the International Monetary Fund, which are the governing documents of the International Monetary Fund.
This will be followed by the first reading of the Child Support Amendment Bill . This is the vehicle for an overhaul of the child support system which the Government wants to come into force next year.
