David Shearer's regular pre-caucus standup with the Press Gallery. David Shearer discussed a range of issues including SOE Sales, Auckland Council funding & the Labour relationship with Maori. However the issue of the day was clearly the Mondayising of holidays and following the David Shearer Press Conference the media did a second standup with the sponsor of the bill - First Term MP David Clark.

David Clark From Zero To Hero - Mondayising Holidays Now Has A Prospect Of Becoming Law
First Term MP David Clark has held his first standup with press gallery this morning following the drawing of his bill to Mondayise Waitangi Day and ANZAC Day holidays from the members bill ballot last week.
While the PM has gone a little colder on the idea than he appeared to be on Waitangi Day the bill may nevertheless have a good chance of being passed by the Opposition with the support of United Future Party Leader and Revenue Minister Peter Dunne.
(NOTE:It is something of a novelty for a first time MP to get so much media attention in their first two sitting weeks of Parliament - David Clark took over the bill from Labour Party Deputy Leader Grant Robertson.)
