Scoop Images: Wellingon Hail in the CBD 13/9/11

Scoop has been living in a windowless office during renovations, but it read on the internet the Wellington had been struck by an unusually heavy hailstorm. So it grabbed its camera and went out for a look around Lambton Quay and Parliament.
Scoop can honestly assure international visitors to Wellington that this does not normally happen, with one Scoop resident saying he had "never seen" hailstones that big.
