Daniel from Karori, one of Wellington's more hilly suburbs, has sent in these images of the snow taken in the afternoon including a snowman he has made.
The Goldridge Resort Hotel in Queenstown sends in these images of snowboarders making the most of the closed roads. They write that after noticing the disappointment of some Australian snowboarders in not to be able to get up to the slopes today the General Manager Penny Clark found a shovel and suggested they create their own jump using the snow on the hotel lawn. They've done a great job and have been "whizzing through the air" all day, she writes.
