Urgency Next Week
When Parliament resumed at 2pm the acting Leader of the House Chris Finlayson said the Government intended next week to have the first reading of the Legal Assistance (Sustainability) Amendment Bill and the second reading of the Biosecurity Law Reform Bill.
The Government then intended to move the House into urgency for the passage of a number of bills requiring ``timely implementation,’’ MPs would be given notice of these bills at the next meeting of the business committee.
The Government response to the Electoral Committee’s report on the inquiry into the 2010 local authority elections was presented.

Briefing on the vision screening programme by the Health Committee

Petition 2008/69 of Laura McCarthy by the Transport and Industrial Relations Committee
