Scoop Audio: Pansy Wong on Parliamentary Travel Rebate Report, 3 December 2010
Pansy Wong held a press conference early on Friday afternoon, following the release of a report into her and her husband's use of the parliamentary travel rebate.
The report recommended that they each repay $237.06 to cover the rebate for the leg of the trip which was used for business purposes. This follows Pansy Wong's November resignation of the portfolios as Minister of Women's Affairs and Ethnic Affairs.
Wong accepted the outcome as part of the National Party's standards of personal responsibility. She also discussed the reason for her not answering questions earlier, details of the trips, her plans for her political future and the effect the scandal has had on her.
