Connie Lawn: A four hour hostage ordeal ended at the Discovery t.v headquarters, near Washington DC. A deranged man learned sharp shooters mean business.
The situation was especially tense, because 4 top Mideast leaders, and Tony Blair, were meeting at the White House a short distance away. Their talks were not affected.
Connie Lawn, who was at the White House at the time, provides this audio report.
