A series of "appalling blasphemous" posters have appeared in Auckland. The Scoop reader who sent these photos describes himself as "absolutely disturbed by these hideous posters".
Headed "Religion is Garbage", they depict "Hole E Christ", "Brainwashin' Brain" and a "Tick-Tock Muhammad" suicide bomber.
The images are clearly inspired by the Garbage Pail Kids trading cards are marked as copyright Eshe X Muckmouth.
They appear to be a campaign for Eshe Brand Streetwear, which has tshirts and stakeboard decks with the images for sale. The website says that they endorse "the slaughtering of the metaphorical sacred cows".
The PunkAs.com messageboard suggests the posters went up on Monday and also notes a 'Pedo Pope' poster.
