95bFM Audio: Reporting War Seminar Receives Packed House
Selwyn Manning talks to Paul Deady on how a seminar focusing on the challenges of reporting war gathered over 200 people to a packed AUT University conference centre. The seminar was hosted by AUT's Pacific Media Centre and featured key-speaker, former ABC reporter and survivor of Balibo Tony Maniaty, who got away to safety before Indonesia's commandos stormed through East Timor, killing hundreds including six journalists, prior to a full scale invasion in 1975. Selwyn explains what Maniaty's key messages were for those who could not attend.
