Iceland's Eyjafjallajökull volcano erupts - image taken at 11.55AM GMT 20/4/2010

Iceland's Eyjafjallajökull volcano has quietened down again and air services have resumed in the United Kingdom today. In the above image the greatly reduced plume can be seen coming off Iceland from the top left of the image. The United Kingdom and Ireland can be seen in the bottom right. While the plume is directed towards the UK its intensity is considerably reduced from that seen in a satellite image taken 24 hours earlier.
