Hawke's Bay To Berlin – This Way Of Life (P.V)
From Hawke's Bay To Berlin – This Way Of Life
This Way of Life is that rare thing – a truly quintessential Kiwi film. Shot over four years with no budget, the film follows the lives of Peter and Colleen Karena as they raise their six children on the thin edge between freedom and disaster.
The film has been selected to screen in competition at the Berlin International Film Festival, one of the top five festivals in the world.

Part V: I Slept With Robbie Williams
Life is strange.
For some reason the gods of documentary decided we deserved to be upgraded to Business Class on our flights to London.
As if Kiri Te Kanawa sitting regally near us was not enough, on the second leg of our journey to London a man boarded all in black wearing big sunglasses (along with some pretty spectacular women and some seriously sexy male entourage.)
It wasn’t till we were in the air and he’d decamped to the bathroom to return decked out in bright yellow spotted silk pyjamas I realised my seat (and sleeping pod) was right next to Robbie Williams.
As we all cuddled down for the night under our 100% cotton duvets my foot was but an inch from his eminence's cute hairy legs. I could have reached out and tousled his lustrous hair and if it weren’t for the wall of the sleeping pod we would have been spooning the night away.
And what was Mr Williams' preferred reading material? I can advise he polished off the entire ‘The Ultimate Book of Useless Information. I kid you not.
Oh the high life of low budget filmmaking.
Robbie's ass Barbie's face. oh joy!
