Princely Opening For New Supreme Court
Prince William opened New Zealand's new Supreme Court in Wellington just before midday today.
The recent bad weather disappeared and in the morning heat more than 1000 people lined the streets around the new building.

John Key escorted the Prince, while royal security and police kept a close eye on protesters who stood behind a barrier across the road.

Fans lined the barriers to meet Prince William, who was more than willing to shake hands and chat.

Some fans gave the Prince gifts like flowers.

Some female fans shouted, "We love you Prince William." While people at the back of the crowd waved their cameras in the air to try and get a shot of the visiting royal.

By opening the new court today Prince William was performing his first official duty for the Queen.
