Manning discuss how the Gate Has Been Shut On Auckland Maori, and Cabinet's given a pat on the back for ACT's Rodney Hide. Prime Minister John Key said at his post-cabinet press conference about 30 minutes ago that Cabinet's view is - there should not be specific Maori seats on the Auckland super city council.
If this was implemented, Key said, then it was Cabinet's view that it should be implemented right across the country. That was not a move that the National-Led Cabinet would agree to.
