  • Scoop Audio: Audio on Demand of NZ Prime Minister John Key's weekly press conference.

Key said he would not be calling President Obama to complain about US moves to subsidise dairy exports, but would leave it at the diplomatic level, in the hands of Trade Minister Tim Grosser. He said the biggest danger for NZ was further retaliation against the US move from the European Union.

He said Maori representation in a future Auckland Super City had not become a “toxic Issue” in spite of the large Hikoi criticising his decision to block the Commission's proposal for Maori seats on the council.

He also touched on Melissa Lee, Fiji, State funding for elections and the drug 'P'.
