He said the transport Minister will make the Government position clear tomorrow, with the Transport Agency unveiling plans for the motorway on Wednesday.
In response to the Napier shootings the PM said he is reluctant to allow police to carry arms, but that there would be increased provision for tasers in the upcoming budget.
He also said the budget will very likely prevent the country from receiving a credit downgrade.
Finally, the PM ruled out re-applying interest
charges to student loans.
