The Prime Minister announced June 13 as the date set for the Mt Albert by-election saying he would lend only limited support to whichever National Party candidate contested it.
Asked whether declining to send more troops to Afghanistan would hurt New Zealand's relationship with the United States, the Prime Minister said it wouldn't be the determining factor when making the decision. "It would depend on whether we think the plan is likely to work, and whether it fits in with our long term exit strategy."
The Prime Minister also discussed New Zealand pulling out of the Durban conference on racism, the national cycle way, Auckland governance, the Richard Worth saga, what came out of the job summit, helicopter flights, and his comments about New Zealand sending troops to Fiji.
