In what will be the last home game this year for the Wellington Phoenix, players turned out in force to promote tomorrow night’s match against the Central Coast Mariners at Westpac Stadium.

To get everyone in the Christmas spirit, Phoenix management have a special two-for-one offering on tickets for Fridays game, a small gesture of the clubs appreciation for the support from fans throughout the year.

Directions

For today’s celebrations there were freebies to be had – in the form of soccer balls - and autographs to be gained as fans and supporters gathered at Midland Park on what has to be the best day for weather this week. Kids were encouraged to try their ‘feet’ against goal keep Glen Moss in the Sony Goal as players mingled with the crowd signing anything from balls to T-shirts. There was even the odd photo opportunity to be taken advantage of.
