KiwiFM Celebrates NZ Music Month With 31 Bands in a Box
The Kiwi FM studio is small and perfectly formed (and not unlike a box) - but no stranger to live-to-air performances. (And while we say it’s small we did squeeze in just about all of the Windy City Strugglers - although Rick Bryant had to sing from the doorway).
Two or three bands (or soloists) play live-to-air on KIwi every week. We’ve hosted Don McGlashan, Anika Moa, the Broken Heartbreakers, Lindon Puffin, the Braxton Hicks, Goldenhorse, Greg Johnson, OpShop, Good Laika, Steve Abel, Dudley Benson, the Stomps, the Tweaks, Tahuna Breaks, Paul McLaney, Ragamuffin Children and many, many more…
But for May we'll have at least 31 Bands in the Kiwi studio playing an intimate live-to-air session - and chatting with our announcer. Some days there will be more than one act. Big bands, small bands, soloists, established names and emerging acts. All performances will be filmed and uploaded to the Kiwi website. So keep checking back here for the schedule and visual goodness.
